Can't recommend highly enough for a stopover.
Spacious room, tasty breakfast, and free Wi-Fi made our stay enjoyable, especially with the convenient location allowing easy access to local attractions.
Nothing it was perfect.

It was just a decent option for strolling in Rothbury with definitely value for money. The food was outstanding, especially that amazing pie. Bring along a towel, as there’s no towel rail in the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay in the garden room, and the breakfast was simply delightful with plenty of options. The cozy garden area and relaxing leisure room were perfect for winding down after our day. Just a small note — a towel rail in the bathroom would’ve been a nice touch! 😊

Celebrating my husband's birthday in the garden room was delightful, with a cozy living room and a comfortable bedroom. The high-quality breakfast, especially the full English, stood out, complemented by friendly staff. the velux windows let in too much morning light, and the proximity of the smoking area to our room was less than ideal for us as non-smokers.

Not for families, but some nice touches
The breakfast was a delight. freshly made and the staff were super friendly on Sunday morning, made us feel at home. And even found a bottle of wine waiting for us, real nice touch for my husband's birthday.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but it could've been worse for what we got.

Comfy room & a nice breakfast
Had a decent night here. The bed was super comfy, and we woke up to a lovely breakfast with great options. The only hiccup was that the vegan menu items weren't labeled as such, so that was a bit of a surprise. there were some greasy chips with our dinner, which was a letdown.

this place is a comfy pub with lovely staff who were super helpful. the food was delish, both breakfast and dinner, big shoutout to the kitchen! the location is also spot on for exploring the area. parking was easy too, which is a plus.
however, it can get a bit noisy at night due to being a pub, and the wifi was slightly unreliable.

We stayed in the Quadruple Room, and it was super spacious. The bed was really comfy, which was a bliss after a long day of exploring. Having the garden access was a plus for letting our dogs run around. Although, I can see how it might get noisy in summer with the beer garden nearby. it had a cozy vibe, made it easy to relax.

The beer garden offers a relaxing outdoor space for unwinding with a drink. The décor in the living room creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a laid-back evening. Breakfast choices impress with quality options and generous portions.
Unfortunately, a lack of soundproofing made the night quite noisy, especially with pub patrons lingering outside past midnight. The patio room is rather small, emphasizing a cramped layout with its oddly partitioned space and minimal bathroom that could only accommodate basic hygiene tasks. the setup felt somewhat outdated, with cheap décor and a strange mix of kitchen units that did not provide necessary cooking amenities.
